What happens if you send me the wrong part?
In the rare instance that a customer receives a part other than what they ordered, we will make it right! Give us a call at 800-522-0887 for return instructions, and we will ship out the right part to you as soon as possible.
What happens if I order the wrong part?
If you order the wrong part, it’s treated the same as a return or exchange. Just send the part back to us and let us know which part you need in exchange.
How long does it take for a part to arrive at my door?
If the part is in stock, we usually ship within 24-48 hours (weekdays). Shipping time will vary on the selected shipping method, as well as your location. You will receive an email the day your order ships along with the tracking information.
What happens if I need to return or exchange a part?
No problem. Send the part back to us you’d like to return or exchange. We’ll issue a refund or exchange as long as the parts aren’t damaged, are in their original packaging, and aren’t on the non-returnable list.
What if the part is broken or damaged during shipping?
It’s important that you note any damage to the outside of the package when you sign for it. Ask the delivery driver to “damage scan” the piece if you suspect anything might be wrong with the contents inside the box. If you didn't or were unable to, please contact us immediately so we can try and file a claim with the carrier ourselves. Your option for replacement of damage goods are 1) re-order with us online and noting that the first one was damaged in the note field of your online order (This is the fastest way) or, 2) return the package back to us with a note of damage and exchange. Once we receive it we then ship you another part to replace it.
Do you ship outside the US?
We currently ship only to the United States.
Do you offer express/expedited shipping?
Yes, we offer 2nd day air at an additional cost. See our shipping policy for additional information.
What shipping methods do you offer?
We offer ground to 2nd day air shipping via UPS and USPS.
Can I track my package?
Once your order is shipped, we will send you tracking information via email.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express).
How do you protect my credit card information?
Our site is protected by Rapid SSL, which encrypts your personal and credit card information to keep it safe.
What do I do if I need to cancel my order?
Your order or part of your order can be cancelled until the order ships. Once it is processed and shipped, it will be treated as a return.
Do I need to have an account to order a part?
No, you don't need an account but we do recommend creating one as you'll be able to login and track your order.
Do you offer a warranty?
Our parts are backed by the factory warranty.
How do replacement parts affect my vehicle's warranty?
Purchasing OEM parts, like those sold at RealVolkswagenParts.com, does not affect your vehicle's warranty.
How can I be sure the part I need will fit my vehicle?
To ensure you're getting the correct parts for your vehicle, provide your VIN when placing your order. We will manually check your order for fitment and accuracy.

Why are OEM parts better for my vehicle? Can’t I just get a cheaper aftermarket part?
Not all aftermarket parts are created equal, but OEM parts are. OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer and means that the parts are directly from the factory. They may be a little more expensive, but this assures the part will be made to your exact vehicle's specifications. OEM parts also typically come with a warranty, whereas aftermarket parts don't. It's simply not worth the risk to purchase aftermarket parts - you may end up paying less up front but the costs down the road could be significant.
